110vac Freezer?

I have 4" of insulation in the walls of my freezer. The current system is marginal in it's effectiveness. I was wondering if I could replace the existing system with a 110V system (a compressor, not a household unit) and compensate for the lack of insulation by "overpowering" the freezer space with a 110V system powerful enough to handle multiple plates sufficient to provide the freezer temperature and hold-over capacity I need. This would negate the need to tear the box apart and add more insulation. I run the generator daily to charge batteries and/or make water. Perhaps not the ideal solution but would it work?
