For Sale: 40' Challenger Ketch
6 Attachment(s)
Kalliope is a 1974 Challenger 40' staysail ketch, Robert Perry designed, Howard Stern constructed.
She is clean, well-maintained and ready to go cruising immediately. Kalliope is a bright, open boat, a comfortable place to be whether at anchor, at sea, or at the dock. She is stable at sea; she has circumnavigated the world as well as cruised the Eastern US coast and Bahamas. She is easy to singlehand as all control lines (headsail, staysail, mainsail, mizzen) are cockpit rigged. A watertight bulkhead separates the forward sail/anchor chain locker; makes a safer boat, keeps sails out of the living area and also houses the holding tank. All systems on Kalliope are well thought-out and nicely integrated. Kalliope is an exceptional, safe blue-water cruiser that is fun to live in, as well as to sail. Price $70,000. Seems like exactly what I'm looking for. The cockpit looks like it has a wierd layout, do you have any other pics and can you tell me where the boat is located?
|
She is located near Supply, NC. Cockpit has two captain's chairs, which can be changed to three different spots, one of which is at the helm. Other than that, pretty normal layout, I think. More pics at the website listed above. Thanks!
