24 v charging
 
Iíve been at anchor for 30 days and top off my 24v house batteries with daily solar / every other day generator. The SoC of my BMS shows 100% but Iíve not paid much attention to voltage and wonder if I should shut down the genet charging based on voltage instead of 100% SoC indicator? It charges to Absorption but seldom to Float.

What battery chemistry?

BMS or BM?

Ideally link to those components if models not frequently discussed here.

Victron BMS via Color Controller. Firefly AGM (whatís called nano carbon)

Voltage does't mean anything while charging. A dead battery and full battery will be same voltage while charging with a large enough charger. It's amps you watch. As the battery gets fuller amps drop.

You never charge a battery to 100% via gen. as the amps drop off you are just wasting fuel. charge to 85-90 in morning. Let solar hit 100 during day.

How big is your bank and how big is your charger?

What happens if you never run the gen? Does your solar keep up? There is no need to keep the fireflys at 100%

What Smac says, watch the amps going into the battery coming down. You will rarely come to 0 but is possible.
“The charger supplies, the battery decides".
