Battery Temperature Monitor

Just had the wonderful experience of a battery fire while I was absent from the yacht - and thankfully, the local team jumped on it before it took hold.
Pretty sure it was a fault within one of my four 150ah AGM batteries that created the drama and have had it replaced under warranty.
Although Iím running a Ďsmart chargerí Pro Nautic 12-40P, the unit uses a voltage variability measurement to determine if overheating is occurring - and switches itself off (presumably) - but doesnít issue an alarm.
So that I can sleep easily at night, does anyone know of a temperature sensor system that can be applied to each battery with maybe a Bluetooth warning to a smart phone? Iíd even be happy with a simple audible Ďover tempí alarm...
Iíve spent hours trolling the net but canít find something that sounds like a simple fix.

Re: Battery Temperature Monitor

The remote panel for the P series has alarms. Iím sure one of them is overtemp. Curious as to what happened. The p series are very respectable charger and use the same on battery temp sensors as Balmar, sterling etc.
