raymarine type 2s linear drive with type 100 course computer

hello,

i have a type 2s 12v linear drive and a type 100 course computer, i know that in the manual it says that the type 300 is meant for the type 2 linear drive, i have a 35 ft ericson and hoping that this will work as this is what i have

please let me know or if anyone would like to swap a type 2 drive for type 1

thanks and let me know if there is a better place to post this

It should work fine. The problem is that it can draw more amps than the 100 can supply if under a big load. Not sure what happens then?

Hi tchiffriller,

I might be interested in the trade. I have a type 1 that came in my boat but I think a bit too small for a heavy 42' with a big, barn door rudder. I just overhauled my drive, installed new bearings in the motor.

Any info on the age and condition of your drive and where are you located?

Thanks

p

if it was properly fused to the 100 specs, you'd blow the pilot fuse and lose power to the pilot

if you overfused it to run the type 2, you'd damage the 100.
