NavPod 5pin Male Conector/Port is for what?
 
Hoping folks might offer ideas as to why we find a 5-pin male port on the backside of our NavPod? Yes, we can certainly open the whole puppy up but nothing's broken and we suspect Murphy's law will insure something will cease to function if we open it up... Frontside: Garmin 4208, and the controls for a now retired Simrad auto-pilot.
(yes, the boat is new to us)
