Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister & Accessories. Clean water makes a clean vehicle!

Page Description:
Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister - Filter out dirt and minerals before they damage your vehicle! Hard water and sediment are the two most common causes of poor water quality. Rid your water of both of them with the Clear Inline Hose Filter. Hard water is the term for water that is full of minerals, mainly calcium and magnesium. These minerals cause water spots each time you wash your vehicle. When hard water is allowed to dry on the vehicle, the water evaporates but the minerals remain. Since these particular minerals harden, they make the surface of your vehicle look and feel rough. They can even permanently etch the finish. Sediment is dirt, hard water scale, sand and rust inside the water pipes. Even if you have treated city water, it can contain sediment. Rust and scale can form anywhere in the pipe line. Sand and dirt can enter through broken water mains miles away and wind up in your home’s water supply. These hard particles can and will scratch your paint finish as you wash your vehicle. With a Clear Inline Hose Filter, you can improve the quality of the water that washes and rinses your vehicle. The Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister is made of durable plastic with brass hose-adapter fittings already installed on the unit. You will need one hose to deliver incoming water and one hose to take the water from the filter to its final destination (your vehicle). The Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister has two cartridge options: Water Softener Filter Cartridge (not included) – This cartridge neutralizes calcium and magnesium in the water, thereby eliminating hard water. Your car shampoo will lather better and your vehicle will be free of those nasty water spots. This cartridge can be renewed and reused indefinitely. A water softener works by replacing the calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions. Sodium ions are “soft”. They don’t produce scale and they don’t stain. They change the actual texture of the water, making it feel “slippery”. This causes water to sheet off the vehicle more effectively. Water that remains on the vehicle will not leave spots. Sediment Filter Cartridge (not included) – This cartridge is made of 25 micron spun poly. It traps fine sediment as the water passes through so that nothing hits your vehicle but pure water. If you don’t have a hard water problem, this cartridge is all you need. Installation of a single Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister requires: 2 hoses (one to the spigot, one to carry the filtered water away from the canister) 1 canister 1 sediment filter or 1 water softener cartridge You can purchase these items separately or get the Total Filter Kit. This package includes everything you need for a single stage filtration system. Install this canister between your spigot and your own water hose to start enjoying the benefits of clean water. One Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister can tackle either hard water or sediment with the appropriate cartridge, but you can attack both problems with the Deluxe Filter System. This package contains two clear canisters, both cartridges, and all the accessories you need to build your very on inline filtration system. If hard water is preventing you from achieving the perfect finish, invest in your paint’s future with the Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister. With two cartridge options, you can eliminate minerals and sediment in your water to render a spotless shine with every wash. Accessories (Not Included) 3 ft. Water Hose - Installation of one Clear Inline Hose Filter Canister requires two hoses. Insert the 3 ft. hose between the spigot and the filter. This small hose makes the installation look neat and tidy because there’s no long hose to coil up. From the filter, connect your regular hose to complete installation. 2 ft. Water Hose - If you opt for the two-part filtration system, purchase the 2 ft hose in addition to the 3 ft. hose; one goes from the spigot to the first filter, the second hose goes between the two filters. You can then mount the two filters on a wall to keep them off the ground and out of the way. 2 lb. Filter Rejuvenating Tablets – Regenerate your water softener cartridge with these tablets. To use, pour the tablets into a plastic dishpan or bucket; use enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Cover the tablets with water. Put the softener cartridge in the water and let it soak overnight at least. The tablets will dislodge the calcium buildup on the resin and replace it with sodium. Replace the cartridge in the filter unit and it will be almost as good as new. There’s no telling how long one water softener cartridge will last. It depends on the hardness of your water. We recommend keeping at least 2 lbs. of tablets on hand and an extra water softener cartridge. When one is recharging, you can use the other cartridge so you don’t have to go a day without soft water.
