    Hello Typhoon
I was cleaning up my hard drive and came upon your old post about a 12 genset. While it's been a long time now, I wanted to let you know(in case anyone else is asking you) that Dixie Alternators in Canada (also has presence in US) makes some whopping big alternators. I put together a 325A unit driven by a Kubota 2 cylinder (~12hp). Can't run full field or the Kubota lugs to near death. But can hold an honest 300A into our AGM's.
Custom work available, just have to wait a bit for the construction.

Yes, I am going to build my own system from ground up. What is the btu/hr capacity of the small Danfoss compressors?

Yes, I purchased the links from Australia too. Was that you that I spotted with a Balmar alternator for sale?

I saw you are using LiFeO4 batteries. I got my hands on some tesla Model S batteries and I am thinking of using them for my house Batteries. 1 tesla module is 5.3KwH and has a nominal voltage of 22.2V Do you know of any inverters that will work with that? I can put two modules together and get 44.4V nominal, but my issue is that the low voltage cutoff is too high to use all the cell power. I can make my own packs, but the tesla cells are really compact. Each module weighs 50 lbs and has the ability to be water cooled. My other concern is corrosion, how do you deal with that? I have a 16KBTU AC, how big of an inverter do I need to start that thing? My calcs say it will take 2000 watts to run it, but may take 6000-8000 to start it.

Any help is much appreciated. If you want pics of the modules let me know and I can send them to you.

    Thanks
    ERic

    Hi There.

What did you end up using for the connections between your Sinopoly batteries? Did you end up buying them from EVTV?

    Thanks,

    Dear Typhoon:

I understand that you have purchased LiFePO4 batteries from Canadian Electric Vehicles. I am considering doing the same. What was your experience like? Did the Synopoly batteries meet your expectations?

    With thanks,

Yes we'll be at Toronto... glad you liked French Canals - they were great! Paul
