Biography

Retired university lecturer (taught writing, Academic English, to poor and minority students, and taught English to international students);
I learned to sail on Sabot dinghies when I was 10 or 12, and kept up sailing all my life (except for several years in Colorado and New Mexico where I was a house carpenter, plasterer, trucker, mechanic, farmer, and rancher);
Read Josh Slocum when I was 12 and vowed to sail around the world;
Current plans are to circumnavigate the globe going NS.
