Hi, I liked your comments about the best yacht for circumnavigation. You made very clear that safety is the main priority. I remember myself being involved at a rescue mission out of Fremantle WA for a skipper with a broken femur. You need to consider the consequences of your action.
However, I myself having enjoyed 20 years of windsurfing and kite surfing, would like to join the cruising community and get myself a little yacht. You seem to be fond of the S&S34. I will look into it and check out the yacht market at the West coast of the US for buying a S&S with strong Aussie dollars and sail it back to Australia's East Coast where I currently live. My plans for the future are to sail mainly around the trade wind area looking for tropical islands and nice waves for surfing. Cheers
