Yes, worked fine on our boat. Further our small boat has an aux rudder type vane and I'm driving that directly with a tiller pilot.

Hi - saw an old post (cruisersforum.com/forums/f67/freelance-journalism-4611.html) on freelance journalism you had commented to in this forum, so I thought to reach out to you...wondering if you'd like to take a paid opportunity to contribute to our soon-to-debut app magazine, called Cigar Advisor. We're sourcing a buying guide type of article for monohull sailboats, by length (best buys under 20', under 32', etc.) - but also looking for someone with some expertise on what one looks for in each class or size, and feels comfortable making some recommendations. Something you might be interested in? Or if not, someone you might be able to recommend? Probably looking at a follow-up sailing article down the road too. Drop me a line - would love to discuss it with you: jpullo (at) famous-smoke.com.
    Thanks!

    Hello Snueman,
My name is Keith and next week I am off to look at a Tayana 37 in Sydney, BC, Canada. I have spent a lot of time reading books, and reading CF over the last couple of years doing my best to educate myself for this moment. I am not a complete novice sailor, lots of time in a dinghy (80's) and with friends on and off over the years. Was fortunate enough to have been invited to crew on races in Naniamo last winter. Having said that I know I face a very steep learning curve and must admit to feeling very nervous about making foolish errors in regards to this possible purchase. As you would obviously be a wealth of information about Tayana 37's I am wondering if I could impose apon you for some advise, chat, etc in the next little while. let me know if you can help.
