    Really interesting about your spinnakers Sea Otter Jim. I see you just don't use a pole but i do wonder if a pole would just put that spinnaker in better spot to one side when going directly down wind. And the the main the other. I need to be able to single hand so it might be a bit hard... then if i get a modern pole telescopic it might be much easier than my original heavy one length aluminum one. I have heard a small kite are ideal on there own DDW with a set midships no pole in 25 knots especially on long hauls. I do like the idea of light downwind sails in under 12 knots it must make such a huge difference. Im still working on SW37 weather is holding me up now.. and getting covid didn't help either.
