Darn, don't know the tested strength of 1/4". I would think that a minimum for open ocean work given the weight of our Dreadnoughts. Yup, the rig was, I think, the part that Crealock worked on to improve sail area by 250sqft over the Tahiti which was a bit under-canvassed under most circumstances. I think we also get a bit more waterline as well as draft and the rudder was enlarged (thank goodness!). I will be loading a couple of brochure images onto my pics here so keep an eye out for those. Scally... Also a Dreadnaught owner. Mine is rigged with 1/4" all around. Where are you located?
