    Thanks for the info. I think those are the batteries we are going to end up with. Bluewater's latest quote is for 4 master volt AGMs that are taller than our existing batteries and have a 400 A-h capacity.

    By the way, as a new boat owner I have found it hard to find reliable contractors/yards to work on the boat. Do you have any pointers as to who I should use or avoid?
