Saw your post about the "lesbian flag" and got a real chuckle. My partner and I are planning to retire, sail the med and wondered if there was going to be any "flack" out there with two girls on a boat. She raced cars for years, so mechanically, I feel we have it handled, and I crewed the Med for 6 years and miss it desperatley. Do you find any bias? I am an american, so I am used to a certain amount of "flack" being given and miss Europe (where I went to school) where there seemed to be less.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Sarah & Pip, thanks for the note, good to hear of some more girlies "out here". We are currently in Sydney Aus. Hoping to find some kind of work to keep us afloat! lol. Not been to the Med yet in our boat.

    Hi

While I'm not looking for a soul mate I am looking for someone to share my 440 Lagoon currently in Croatia. Own cabin, share consummables and sailing load. 54 year old easy to get along with (or so I'm told)

    Hi Sarah
Yes im back in Malvern sadly. I loved Sardinia very much but life aboard with Alan was difficult. He is a nice guy, kind and caring and he loved me very much but I did find it hard living in such close quarters with someone whom I found to be a loner, who didnt wish to socialise etc.
Im a naturally chatty, inquisetive, outgoing, childlike person who hates acting her age.
Alan is a crusty old hermit who only needs his own company and a book. The hours of unbroken sullen silence and the moody dissaproving looks didnt make me feel relaxed or welcome.
I do miss the fun we had when we first met and im sure he misses me in his own way.
I dont blame either of us for it not working out, I dont regret a moment of our time together, it just wasnt going to work out long term.

Suffolk and London are off my beaten track at the moment, but its always good to chat.

    Happy christmas to you both.

    Amy x
