- Biography
- Left the miltary and went to work for Boeing Airplane Co.Retired (Boeing and USMCR) Found a Red Cross Small Boat Sailing course (same as ASA 110) and fell in love with sailing. Bought a distressed Holder 14 and was given a distressed Sunfish which I rebuilt in my garage. During restoration I crewed for various racers of the Ninenscah Yacht Club. After two years of rebuild I was ready to float my boats but found I wasn't ready to steer them, and retook the ARC Small Boat course. After six years of racing and sailing my own boats I took the ASA Keelboat course at Redbud Marina in Oologah,OK. Found out the difference of sailing on 29K acres of water compared to Lake Cheney's 9K acres (and that's only when it has water. Wasted two years waiting for the water to rise during 1010 and 2012.
Well now my dream is to purchase a larger vessel I can live aboard and get my ASA Passage Making certification.
