I am buying aboat in jacksonvile. planing to sail it to my home puerto rico. I as plnning on hiring a captain but cost are out of budget. did you did your trip? would love to hear about it. My off shor experience none basically in protecte waters. so I thought sail it to FT lauderdale then a hop thru the bahamas. is a whitby ketch 42 with an 5 foot keel.
