Lost in Texas now but have followed Neeltje since Maryland. She is a very heavy and well built ship. It is interesting to see her history all the way back to who she was named for in these threads - thank you for posting.
Neeltje is of a good size and was wondering if you have used her as a liveaboard. As a unskilled sailor wanted to ask has she seen open waters? Used to see barges like this in the canals in Europe and in Woodbridge UK, where we once lived.
Should she ever be listed for sale, would like to have you contact me. .
Hello Neeltje, My name is Bill Malone and I am extremely familiar with your Talk. I first saw it in Rhode Island shortly after it was brought to the USA. Followed it to Maryland through several owners where it almost sank and then to the west coast of Florida with another owner. Finally making arrangements for the purchase and its consequent delivery to Ft Lauderdale and its restoration. It was being restored for me in Fort Lauderdale before you bought it. I would love to talk with you about it. I live on Big Pine Key. I look forward to hearing from you. thanks for your time.
