Hi, Sorry I took so long to answer, but just saw the mess. I have not been at it at all. My boat is a 30' Bristol, shrink-wrapped for the winter in Ct. I will go there in Aug and take her down to Cape Canaveral. Once there I will take maybe six months to insure a watertight boat and a good engine and good electrical with solar power. Also during that time I will learn to sail! haha After two years of learning I plan to single hand. One never knows what will happen, but that's my plan A. I see absolutely no reason not to sail if you are in good health. Please retire as soon as you can collect your soc. sec. and follow your dream. It it not worth the time or the money to wait and wait for everything to be just RIGHT. YOU make it the right time by doing it. Keep in touch and I will do so too. Where do you plan on making home base? Wishing you the best. Karen
