Not sure if you are going to like the news -- but I made it clear to Pete that I really needed a spot that can handle a full keel heavy displacement sailboat (I bounced off the cement pylon last month trying to get her out). So he offered me an end tie -- right across from you on H83. I have to admit I feel a bit guilty about it as I dont want to obstruct your view. However, for me, the spot would be ideal in that I could almost single-handedly take my boat out!

Please visit! It is a walk as I am on the first landing. I wouldn't give your slip up! What you have is what I need: Maneuvering room. You can back up and let the wind help push you back till you have room to go forward. Had I known that was available, I would have asked for it! I hit my boat abt a month ago on the cement pylon between crabbing, higher than expected wind, and trying to avoid hitting my neighbor. I have become quite adroit at physics and geometry getting but I am tired of the BS. I did talk to Pete but he has turned a deaf ear. He came here to to see the problem -- and he agreed. With the distance to the walkway (as I am close to the end of lagoon) and the 10 foot over into the water way the oversize powerboat next to me sticks out, it is damnably hard with my full keel. Enough of my bitching. Stop by and say hello if you have time. I am A8 (I think). Uou cannot miss me. Oldest sailboat that looks like someone has been slowly working on her for years.

What was so bad about Shelter Island Marina? That is where the Best Western is, correct?

Are you living on your boat? I went slip shopping today. Frustrated backing this boat out of the slip here. I dont have a lot of room to maneuver. I think you are over one gangway from me. I am A4. Just stuck my head out -- I think you guys are over one gangway. Yes?

You probably already did -- I am the grouchy guy on the gangway! Welcome aboard! I forget my slip, but you can see the Willard as you walk down the gangway -- just to the left about 5 slips or so. (Can never recall the exact number).
