    I hope you have taken the feedback in a positive manner. For distance small boat sailing, you might be interested in reviewing the voyages made by Webb Chiles. He's currently in the end segment of his sixth circumnavigation, this time on a Merritt 25. It can be done, but he has an enormous amount of experience and chooses to go in the preferred direction, which is not to windward (Panama to Florida is predominately all to windward). I'd suggest you might want to do a bit more research on the time required to complete your voyage. You might also want to familiarize yourself with seasonal weather patterns (hurricanes) and troublesome stretches, such as the Gulf of Tehuantepec. It is doable, but lacking experience, a suitable vessel and a modicum of knowledge of what might be required detracts from your chances of success. Good luck.
