- Worked 35 year in the oil patch, i.e. commercial diver, logging engineer, log analyst, business development, i.e. subsea engineering, offshore pipelines, and spar floating production platforms.
Most recent sailing adventure, cruised offshore from Oriental, NC, Charleston, SC, Florida (Fernandina, Cape Canveral, Fort Meyers, Key West), and 1000 nautical miles from Key West to Galveston, Texas in 7 days! I had an opportunity to sail past a lot of deepwater floating platforms that I worked on in the Gulf of Mexico, i.e. BP Atlantis, Holstien, Maddog, etc. It was a great retirement gift to sail through the history of my carrier working offshore!
