Hi and sorry about the delay. I have just found your message here. Yes, I agree (of course ). The only thing I don't like is the noise (Quiet Flush indeed !!!). Also I find the shaft of the pumps suffer from crevice corrosion (I have had to replace two now). We winterise by de-scaling then flushing well with fresh water, and pumping dry, but on both pumps now it is just like a hacksaw cut diagonally across the shaft, and the new pumps are not cheap. I have an idea of sleeving the shaft with Teflon, but that's as far as it has gone so far. Anyway, keep in touch, and stay away from the bags of coconut coir and bottles of urine (how anyone could be enthusiastic about such a procedure I don't know …..)

Could not agree more, but as you say some people can not be told, so why did he ask for advice to start with.

Hey Drew, do you know of the UK Built Westerly Corsair 36, theres one, a GRP Ketch for sale in Manly Qld on yachthub, after some research they sound a safe, comfortable & Solidly built production yacht, & seems to have "almost" everything I'm after,.. except a shower, would that an issue to install one? Offer price? Anyway, when you've time could you give me your opinion on whether it would be worth doing a surveying on it.
    Regards Jeff.

Drew, I remember all the things you mention. Neil's Bayfield came back with an outboard on the stern after he blew the engine. I'm pretty sure I remember your boat...did you have a big dog with you, and you were pretty much under the crane on the hard for the winter?

I was fixing up a Cal25 back then. Wayne was a wealth of information. I enjoyed hearing his tales of ocean crossings, and also about building his boat in hamilton.

I was told he paid off his daughters home (farm?) with his drug money. They gave him a deal...if he plead guilty, they would let her keep her house.

Nick liked to talk. He told us Wayne went car shopping, found one he liked and paid cash on the spot (jeep cherokee I think). Nick liked the smell of money.
