I'm 31 and my g/f and I have been living on ours the past 4 years. I've owned a 465 and 485. It's a great boat with lots of room and storage and we can get her in nearly anywhere we want. She is easy to handle and I would say a near perfect liveaboard vessel for two. We use this vessel as our home so I would say it depends on your personal finances because after you exceed 45ft you're going to get increased slip fees at most ports. A major rec would be buy used because when you buy new she comes bare and you're going to pay 850k + total to get her well fitted. If you're hell bent on going new don't let the yard sell you and get her equipt to your specs after purchase you'll save 50k! IP's are great on resell. we are jumping up to a 70ft Hinkley sou'wester and put up a forsale sign and are in escrow in less than 1 month. Any surveyor will tell you the IP is one of the best vessels for retaining value.

    Hi Chuck
It is an AB infltable 8AL which has a aluminum hull.
I should have the results of the problem and if the company does the honerable thing.
If not you can be sure that the sailing world will hear about it.
    Have fun

Thanks Chuck. I enjoy messing around on boats and it keeps me out of my wife's hair! Refridgeration (electric eutectic) is the final major thing to do - I'll fit a unit into the existing well insulated ice box under the chart table.
