Bob, it was so great to see you!! Thanks for coming to our party, and thanks for the Gulf crossing advice. Can't wait to meet up again, would like to pick you brain about a few things.
Cheers

I am interested in living aboard in rockport or port A. do you have any recommendations on location. I will have to buy boat too.
I lived aboard a 41 foot Gibson house boat after my divorce ten years ago and it was one of the best ideas I have ever had. Time to do it again.
I saw your post to the new member wherein you remind him that larger boats can be singlehanded. I noticed that you consider good radar equipment to be essential for sailing solo. I was hoping you could give me some insight on radar equipment and placement. Specifically, is radar overlaying or split screen on the chartplotter necessary at the helm? I am leaning this way, but I don't want a giant display pod on the binnacle, but am not sure if a 5-7" radar screen is large enough to be effective. Thanks a bunch for any insight you can provide.
Yup, unfortunately, I still have to keep a real job, and got called out. ;o) We'll be there possibly Sat (Best Bud is a lineman and has to work some this Sat) and definitely Sunday to start stripping off and tagging the the deck hardware. After this weekend, we should be down every weekend, Sat and Sun.
Thanks for Joining the Single Sailors Seeking Soul Mates group! I set the group to moderate, and to approve messages. This causes a delay in your post BUT it will keep our site free of off topic comments or criticisms. If you have any comments or suggestions please feel free to PM me. I hope you find what your looking for.
Cheers,
Erika
