Thanks for the positive comments. We have lots of fun working on our websites, and enjoy communicating with folks who are living their cruising dreams. Keep on keeping on. Dave

There are a lot of slips open in the marinas in PC. We found one for a 41 ft. Morgan for $200/month, most of the other places have dropped thier prices as well.

You are correct about the number of boats for sale (sail?) in the area. I could have spent days looking at them all, and I pretty much know what I want. I saw discounts of up to 40% off the asking price while I was anchor kicking. I really liked the broker I dealt with, they were more than friendly and really went the extra mile.

The main result of the trip was to set my boat size sights at or above the 40 ft range, but that will require selling the house down there before I am willing to buy the bigger boat.

Just thought you might want to know!

Too true, just a bunch of small lakes around here, hench the small boat, but I have a house in Florida! Going to be looking at live-aboards in Panama City while I am visiting the kids over Christmas. Now if I can only find a place to keep one there!

I'd like to think William Ward is a lot like me, or I like him. I also like his quotes on friendship and personal responsibility. Thanks for the positive comment!

Thanks for the positive comments about MaxingOut.com. We enjoyed making the site, and we are happy that people enjoy it and find inspiration in its pages. It's easy to get beaten down by all the negative news and by everything that people tells us that we cannot do. Too many things are illegal these days it seems to me. I derive lots of comfort in the knowledge that I can drop my dock lines and head off to places where I am immersed in an ocean of freedom. The easiest thing to find on planet earth is someone to tell me everything I cannot do. When I drop my dock lines, I leave the naysayers behind. It feels so good!
