    His ordeal e was mentioned by some of the other posters to your thread. Sounded like conditions were worse than you encountered but his boat was weathering the storm well, though far from comfortably.

    Sorry for the loss of your boat. I'm still curious what happened to your rudder. As I said in my post, it sounded like a collision since the vane also got lunched. It's just wierd that the shaft would break, however, without causing more damage.

    Any sightings of your boat? Seem to be a view ghost boats out there caught in the Pacific Gyre.
