    Hi Talbot Thanks for that, I will have another good look over boat tonite and make sure it is worth spending time on. Regards oor wullie.

    There is no real problem about not having a plate. Normally these are hidden around the back bulkhead somewhere and provide id of the hull number. I was never able to find it on my last boat, but know it is hidden away somewhere. I had that boat for over 20 years and nobody was ever interested in knowing what was on it. - so don't worry.

    sorry new to boats but no sign of plate after first viewing but going back to have a thorough look. Where do you suggest I look for a makers plate and what if there is no plate should I be concered regards W.
