While I have lived aboard for 4 year in San Diego, my cruising knowledge is limited to what I have read and heard. However, you seem to be very familiar with the Caribbean!

I made a recent trip to Cuba with the University of CA- San Diego and saw an opportunity. I would like to start bringing boat parts into Cuba in anticipation of the lifting of the embargo. I met with a former government economist and he was also very insistent, as you are, that they will not allow what happened to the Key West reefs to happen to the Cuban reefs. I also met with scuba divers, cruisers and marine tour guides.
