I see. So you are the "media" boat. I'll let you know if I will be in Port A. Have fun

Yeah, many people just go without being official (like us). I may hop on a cat if she decides not to take her boat. It will be nice to dip my toes in the Gulf, I miss it.

Thought there was a 4 crew minimum! Would offer to help, but not sure I would be much help. Haven't sailed in years and that was limited. Bought the Catalina to learn on, but only learning repairs and rigging so far.

I'm going to race the leg down to PortA. Pretty sure I am going on a bene with just a girlfriend and I. Her husband may make it (hopefully) a crew of three would be better.

Didn't even know about it till you mentioned it and I Googled it! This sailing thing is new to me. Still have family down near Port A. Might have to go check it out! If I am through with the restoration in time, I might just have to drag my little Catalina down there and play while the big girls and boys show off! You heading down there?

    Hey Erika,

Loved the dragonfly story and the VW. Seems you are not going crazy, rather learning to escape the craziness and getting in tune with nature and simple things in life!

Keep up the good work on your blog

He he, thats the spirit! Love can overcome all obstacles. I have lived aboard for over 14 years and never met a bird like Harvey. This morning I was sporting my brand new purple umbrella, he took one look at it as I emerged from my boat and flew off as if the hounds of hell were upon him - squawking and flailing....so I gather he doesn't like purple umbrellas. I think he needs his own blog :-).
