I did not buy Reunion. I built Carina, starting in 1978, doing >80% of the work myself (Cecil and crew enclosed the boat and installed bulkheads and some other plywood). I knew many of the original owners of the 31s, and they were all owner completed to some degree - usually a lot, and to varying levels of finish.

I cruised in Mexico with a couple (Marta and Denis) from Whidbey Island who had a beautiful Cape George 31 named Reunion. Denis built it on Whidbey then, in 2002 - 2004, sailed to Galapagos, New Zealand, and Australia. They shipped the boat home where they sold her a few years ago and now cruise on a Cape George 36.
