I guess it would depend on what you consider Blue Water. I don't know much about the citations other than they are fairly fast. As far as I know the smaller Irwins were built as coastal cruisers on the order od O'day and Catalina. Good boat for what you pay for them but not intended to cross oceans.

Irwinsailor, I need your opinnion on a 34' Irwin Citation. Do you think they are a good boat and would you sail one in blue water?
