Hey Trish: I hope Herb is still around and delivering wx for your route. Just in case: I to support boats wx-wise but unfortunately I do not cover the NY to the Azores stretch. In any case, if you can have on-boat wx data (fax and gribs) then it will help you very much to avoid the worst (or at least get prepared when/if a blow is forecast). I remember NOAA has (or had) a very good voice N Atlantic cast that we listened to on our SSB receiver - good signal and most useful info from them guys. Regards, barnakiel
