We are trying to get something that will be roomy enough for a marina live-aboard yet small enough for two 50ish people with nearly zero ocean experience. A 40 or 44 foot Pacific Seacraft are first on our list but are at the high end of our price range. The cheapest ones I have seen are @ $240K. We are also looking at an 84 Norseman 447 ($149K) but it may need some serious $$$ to get it in shape.

Just read your post re selling B 36.7 and considering other boats. I have a 36.7 in Miami and with the SD 5'10" I am limited. Problem is how to get performance with a 4.5 draft in a 40 ft +/- late model/new boat? Only solution so far seems like a Waukiez (sp?) Opium 39, but thinking more towards a 43-45 for accomodating a gen set etc. Your thoughts and experience would be greatly appreciated. Time frame is still several years out. Still enjoying racing the Bene!
