Crewing on someone else's boat might not be a bad way to go about it. There are a number of fellows that sail out of Seattle and Port Townsend on the forum and it might be worth your while to get in contact with them. You might want to post a message on the Meets & Greets thread to introduce yourself and make known a desire to contact other members in your area, if you have not done so already.

I'm in Seattle and fly out of Boeing Field. I fly commercially doing flight instruction, tours etc..I just happened across this site/forum from an interest in sailng again. I sailed quite a bit years ago, but got away from it and just never went back.....till now. Part of my interest is a new found freedom I have and the itch to explore the world a little. Not sure exactly what that means yet, but crewing on something seems interesting as a way back into it....
