I saw your message today. The Quasar I bought in Florida can not be the one you are talking about, since this one initially was purchased by a Swiss company owner, who used it until his death by accident, and after that a US Coast Guard officer in Florida used it as a patrol boat in the swamps. Then the owner before me bought it, fixed it up quite a lot and now finally I have it, and love it. I don´t konw how to post photos here or I would send you one.

Hello! I was recently looking for a Prout to buy for my family of 4. I read about you purchasing a 1980 Prout Quasar in Florida in 2010. When i was a teenager, my father bought a 1980 Prout Quasar that had been dismasted down in the Yucatan Peninsula. He had it from 1992 until the mid 2000's. He had built the mast for it out of wood & fiberglass. I have fond memories of the boat & have always searched for it in the Internet. It was my introduction to sailing. We lived aboard until I went off to college. Then he & my stepmother continued to sail her until around 2000. I think he sold it to a man from Texas. A doctor I think. Anyways, just thought I'd ask about her & see if you have any pics. Would love to see her. Thanks in advance & I hope this reaches you.
