Adventures with an old school vane!
My old vane and and how it made its way to my boat. I hope someone can let me know if they know the make and model and vintage. It actually comes to me via another CF member and though it is old, was lightly used and in very good shape. Apparently it was in storage for many years. Since I have an outboard on the transom, this was the kind of vane I needed.

Partly disassembled
base. The control lines go around the wheel there and then cross before going under to the other wheel. The lead balance weight on the right slides...
2 panels of fabric to cover making it potentially reef-able. The sail cloth is a pocket that slides over the frame and clips on. The balancing weight...
