Zach, what did you choose in the end?

Zach hi, I rate the DP C-Breeze highly as a really nice fabric and indeed we have just ordered a main in the same material from the same sail loft, Kemps. Sanders sail loft rate the material as silver quality, which I think is fair, its a balance between quality and price. In the UK Marblehead is a similar price. The main is now 4 years old and still feels very new and slippery when I put it back on the furler the other day. There is no chaffing and no noticeable change in shape.

Now, I have never had a Marblehead sail. I know its a really good quality sail with a very tight weave and been around for over a decade, so tried and trusted by a lot of lofts.

Since like us you are coastal sailing actually i don't think there will be much in it and either material will provide a very nice sail for a decade. Probably comes down to which loft you prefer and what they will offer in little extras like UV strip, re-enforced clew ring, reefing marks etc.

Hi Pete, hope you don't mine the PM. I'm looking at buying a sail made from DP C-breeze and I saw you have had one for several years. Is it holding up well? My other option is Marblehead, which is highly regarded and actually less money from a different loft. I don't know if you are familiar with Marblehead, but if you are could you comment on which cloth is better? I will be coastal cruising mostly with a few overnight passages.
    Thanks,
    Zach
