I am leaving sunday on a 7 day beer tasting tour of the EU.
    Den Helder, Helsinki and Gdansk.
I have a few favorite bars in each place although I always have to make a visit to the Ice Bar in Helsinki. Just vodka there no beer. The bartenders are all 20 something Finnish babes in fur.
I have been frequenting the Irish Pub in Gdansk and they have a few good beers on tap though vodka seems to reign there also.
I am always looking for a new place to drink if any of you have knowledge of a good bar in any of these places do let me know.

If you can get it try my favourite, Theakstons Old Peculiar. It's a strong dark beer with a slightly sweet malty flavour. The main thing I miss when sailing. In bottles it's great on draught it's heaven.

Theakstons is a small independant brewery situated in the village of Masham in North Yorkshire, England. Most supermarkets in the UK sell their beers particularly Old Peculiar.

Are you suggesting that the red cross do beer drives instead of blood drives

Human blood volume is about equal to half a case of beer.

An adult who weighs 160 pounds has about 5 quarts, or 160 ounces (4.7 liters) of blood.
There is 12 Imperial fluid ounces in a Canadian beer bottle, and 24 bottles in a case.

Testing, testing... I currently have a nice, dark stout that my wife and I make in kegs. (We homebrew and make Mead as well). My stout is like Guinness only... darker.

I'd like to join this group. Is there an initiation or Indian Bravery Test or anything like that?
Let me know I am always up for a challenge especially if it involves drinking.

Full sail is brewed in Oregon. I can buy it at my local grocery store and most brew pubs (good ones) in the Pacific NW have it on tap. Not that I know much about brew pubs....
