Re: When To Go Gray ...

I think the answer is when you want to - and that closely linked to when you are able to.....including when the expectations from others allow (no difference between having a certain hair colour or style than wearing a suit).

and that might be never! by own choice or from others.

The irony is me giving opinion on hair matters!, although I still has mine! - it just suffers from sleeping under hedges........

Amen! And ironically, if the stories are correct, this is all because of a woman!

Exactly. Maiden.....Mother......Crone. Each of these stages should be celebrated equally and in their due time. If any of the three should be celebrated more it should be Crone.....but in a society that focuses (and profits) on youth......it may never happen, and that is sad.

DOJ - you have a opinion on EVERYTHING so I see no irony! Hahaha! Love ya bro!

Sad in the US perhaps but in Oz, not so much. Here are two randomly-selected pics of sensational late-forty-ish Aussie babes, that beg the on-thread question, do they colour their hair?

Re: When To Go Gray ...

Blue crab - you gotta be suicidal. Trust me there are easier and less painful methods than posting pictures of women and asking if they color

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

I am awaiting a private message from one of these well-known women. I'm relying on being too far away for either to actually do bodily harm.: whistling:

Re: When To Go Gray ...

a hint for curmudgeon and other short hair lovers---i am amazed at how much more manly the cruising women look as i meet them and see them going to shore with their long haired male partners....they look as if roles were reversed.....yet they do NOTHING to help with sailing the boat --on arrival to anchorages, manly man with long hair is doing everything and she with her manly cut hair is doing either listening to her headset and not knowing what to do , or just sitting there as he yells at her to do something....fun to watch.

these women look more like men than do the men with whom they travel....eeps...

the clue to long hair on board is keeping it up while out sailing and working. just like working in a hospital---keep the long hair--just keep it where you want it, not everywhere..

..then let it down at night when it counts..LOL

Zee is right! It is very easy to wrap a braid around a hairstick and wear a hat.

SmartMove, if my hubby wanted me to cut my hair, I guess I would if it made him happy. Thankfully, he prefers it long. Life is just too short to worry about hair lengths. I don't think I would dye it, though.

This thread is really fun! I hope it continues.

Re: When To Go Gray ...

DOJ reminds me of a quote about Ted Turner " He has an opinion on everything, and if not, he will make one up" A fine creed to live by. Ah, a lovely picture of Juliar Gillard with the emphasis on the last four letters of both names. Blue Crab, with taste like that I can see why you think Katie Furry, near enough , is gorgeous. JG mamake me choose sheep.

Ooh, nice injection of Aussie politics. Is JG a regular here? Metinks Blue Crab is safe on that account.
