Hi everyone, thanks for posting your thoughts on the matter, I have had fun reading through them.

MarkJ, you are spot on about the whole self esteem thing, but I hope your sister doesn't read this!

So here's the update, I have continued to color my hair. I tried just letting it go, thinking that with blond hair it wouldn't be that noticeable. But it was and the whole two-toned thing drove me nuts -- kudos to Kache Walk for getting through it! And, in the end, as Salt_Miko said, it is freaking fun.

Robyn, It's all good. You make the choice that feels right. As others have said, its only hair.

As an aside, I went to a movie the other night (Life of Pi in 3-D) and without asking for one, my silver hair earned me a Senior discount. Unforeseen perks!

Re: When To Go Gray ...

IMHO gray is very attractive on an older woman so long as she keeps it short.

Re: When To Go Gray ...

I am astonished at the lengths women will go to look "better" for men. From the clothing prices they pay to walking on "heels" to nylons to lasering to all that crap they put on their faces and lips, jacking up their boobs, butterflies on panty lines, no panty lines!!! Is there any piece of clothing more disgusting than a thong?

I don't think men care much about that stuff. We want you to stay clean and stay lean.

End of rant.

Women don't do any of that for men. They do all that to impress other women.

Why keep it short? Oh I know, at a certain age we ALL must cut our hair short. Hmmm...my grandmother would have had a word, or two, to say about that. Haha!

For years I have been after my wife to let her hair grow long.... she alway agrees-- next time she won't have so much cut.

And the next time she agrees she won't have so much cut!
