I like grey hair.

I just wish I had more of it.

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"

To me, gray and natural looks prettier than artificial whatever. I do not like make-up either. Be your natural self.

Update: After posting the thread last night, I decided to color it one more time. I got the lightest blind I could find to make the change less dramatic. I've been in LA for the last week due to the passing of mom and did my hair myself in the hotel. Betcha all a beer (if we ever meet) that the hubby will never notice when he picks me up in San Juan tonight! Without the contrast from the roots he never be the wiser .

I opened up CF To pass time during my 4-hour layover and was surprised by all the responses!

Good grief there have been some really funny posts to this thread. I was laughing so hard, everyone around me started staring at me. They probably think I'm looney tunes -- time find another seat!

Thanks for all the fun, it lifted my spirits today.

Not sure its as simple as that. A few centuries/millenia ago most men did not survive long enough to get grey hair and I doubt women would have deliberately selected older mates instead of those in their prime (with good hunting and fighting capacity) if they were naturally seeking a mate to ensure optimum survival of their offspring.

+1

I would tend to agree with Seaworthy. I think the other poster in the thread has probably been hanging around the yacht club, swapping stories and ideas with that famous yachtee ... what's his name .... umm oh - yeah, Mcafee!

Here's a way. And no one will notice!

CarstenB: That's what I thought when I met her. I invited her back to the boat and she's been here ever since ... That was five days ago. It's been heavenly but I'm getting short on cash.

Come to think of it, I've had the same haircut for about 49 years - since I grew enough hair on my baby head to have anything for my mother to comb. Parted on the left. I probably have a furrow in my skull by now. Now my wife on the other hand...

SM, sorry to hear about your mom but I am glad CF has has helped in providing some balance at this emotional time.

And I think your beer money will be safe

Hahaha! If I gave the impression that my gf is ideal, that was my mistake. I won't enumerate her faults, but she has her share, as we all do.

To answer the question from a totally pragmatic observation…..
When the eyebrows go grey.. time to stop coloring your hair
