Ah, if only it were that simple.
Yes! (Could I get a backrub once in a while with that?)

I think they care. It's unsure what they plan to do with the knowledge! But this probably doesn't apply to just boats.

A good wife/partner is ALWAYS thinking about what a man wants.

I want a soft dodger with impact glass instead of vinyl. That does NOT translate into a hard dodger, BTY.

Ain't no woman gonna figure that out on her own, so I thought I would toss into the mix here.

Oh, and more thing: Electronics that never corrode. I'm a simple man and easy to please. LOL

And is normally working out how she can make it possible.

Anjou,
It should work both ways
In any case, having learned early on that it's much better to know than to guess, I just asked.

Now you have narrowed the question down it might get more interesting.

If the boat is your home, it should be clean, organised, efficient, comfortable and economical to run.
I certainly enjoy my bathroom time, I like to take care of myself, so a well appointed bathroom is important to me.
Galleys are a tool to perform a task. Always more pleasurable when its organised and serves the purpose well. Same for a bed.

For sale signs are actively discouraged.

LOL...Anjou...I think you missed the point of the thread but are starting to come around to it....but I can tell what your looking for in a man...

1) He is very Clean
2) He likes to Cook
3) Keeps the bed made
4) Can stretch a dollar
5) Intimate and fun

Hey just insert a She in there and that sort of sums up my wife....now transferring her over to the boat is what I want...

Stillraining, I couldnt have put it better myself.
Clean is essential, we simply MUST share the fun of cooking, a messy bed isnt allowed,- I need a good nights sleep, money wasters scare me and whats life without that personal touch?

Im sure this appeals to most men too, so I guess I got the point.

Is that list set in stone or is there a little flexibility if the guy is willing to work on improving his weak point?

She asked for a new head that worked the ones at home. A new fresh water system including sinks in the galley and head and a working shower. Better ventillation in the galley and heat everywhere else and built-in steps that gave her easier access to all the lockers (she's 5 ft 0).
The boat came with custom mattresses and fitted sheets so that was taken off the list. All was done within the first two months of ownership except for the heating which we didn't need immediately.

I Think Old Jersey probably has the feel of it right! I also suspect women believe something along the same lines
