Re: Very Funny Misconceptions ...

When I was about 18, I thought I'd make a fortune by the time I got to now

I remember as a child listening to an Elvis Presley song (So you don't think me old-I was a very precocious child speaking at only months old Maybe younger!). The farmer's daughter girl in me heard the words:

"I ain't nothin' but a hound dog
Riding on a cow" 

I even saw the image of it in my mind. Guess I knew more about cows than crying all the time. Still makes me giggle to hear the song!

I'm right-handed. Around middle or high school, I was curious about how to write with left hand and played around with writing backwards.. I was able to sign my name pretty good backwards too, but not so much now.

That's like watching kids with a rotary phone and trying to figure out how it works.

And with all the digital clocks, try to explain clockwise / counter-clockwise.

Re: Very Funny Misconceptions ...

I was discussing getting a wind generator for the boat, and a fellow piped in to say that that was a GREAT idea...I could sail even when there was no wind! And a church one...as a young boy, I wondered why God was so fond of Falls Church, VA, since every Sunday we recited "May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hand...for our good, and the good of Falls Church." (It's really "the good of all His church."

Re: Very Funny Misconceptions ...

In 3 grade I had a broke leg and a cast to my hip. In the lunch line a little girl asked me how they got it off. I told her they cut my leg off and pulled it out.

She fainted to the floor and I got in big trouble.
