Re: Time to beat the big record.

Folks, I think that we have a new intergalactic record for thread drift!

And, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that he might be better advised to do his record attempt in a Mac-26 since he could motor at 20 knots when the wind went light. Besides the speed advantage, I have heard that MacGregors (sp?) have water ballasted buckets for performance enhancement.

Or even better, an aftermarket bucket from the suppliers for the Volvo 70's, made from carbon fibre...

Cheers,

Jim

Chucklet posted this thread asking about "a fast strong ocean boat between 30-45 ft." When he already had one in mind. Have u noticed that chucklet321 posted the "help with hunter" thread roughly 3 hours before this thread, so I wonder...

A 14-foot mini-cruiser is minimalist. A 19ft is comfortable, and anything much larger than a 25 borders on ostentatious.

Re: Time to beat the big record.

I am pretty dismayed with this thread. The kid has a dream and rightly or wrongly its his dream. He came here seeking advice. A lot of the posts are appalling. Imagine if it was your kid that went to a forum and was treated this way. End of rant!

Well, they're not my enemy. I have nothing against them. However, it doesnt change my opinion that the kid has a dream and his dream was scoffed at .

Assuming it is a kid and not a troll, one would expect that things dont add up. The original questions were vague enough for one to assume its a kid and not a troll.
