Sex Afloat is definitely the best!

We prefer to snorkel over and begin in shallow warm water, then as things get heated up ... drifting into the cooler current helps.

If you time it right and climax near a cleaner station, the little wrasse..cals do a wonderful job cleaning you up....(but it does tickle)

Never thought to bring a mattress along!...

My take on you gf's comment? She's looking for a way to stay off the boat, (regardless of what else she says) and subtly (or not so) trying to convince you by hitting you where it hurts. As in "I won't have sex with you on board. So we can go if you must but fair warning."

Too cynical? Maybe - but young women can be very sneaky. So, enjoy your young girlfriend on land - but expect to go boating alone.

Hmmmm. Sex afloat. Where do I begin?

I spent 18 months living on a Grampian 26 when I was 23-24. I had a drop dead gorgeous girlfriend by the name of Terri. We first met in September, and things were just peachy. Come winter, it became an adventure. Gramps are single skin fiberglass, no insulation except the balsa core in the overhead and the decks. I also neglected to put a green house on her because I wanted to win some dopey prize for being the earliest boat to be sailing in the New Year, and figured January 01 at 00:30 was about as early as you can get.

So, it was bloody cold. -25 C at times. 2 electric heaters going full blast. Our breath condensing on the overhead while cooking dinner on the alcohol stove, or even just breathing. Now imagine having to stop every few minutes to take a paper towel and wipe down the overhead because as you got hotter and heavier, the rain got more intense. I went through more rolls of paper towels in that one winter than I did in the next 3 years of living ashore.

Disposing of condoms. Normal people toss them into the bin and out with the trash. Not me, oh no, Stood up, opened the forward hatch and tossed it over the side. Wind grabbed it and sailed it over the dock towards one of the other live aboards. Then deposited it neatly through a 12 inch square vent in their green house, and plunked it down on their forward hatch. I chuckled. Terri asked me what I was laughing about so I showed her. Oh brother. She flipped, demanded I go over there to retrieve it. Not a chance in hell. There it stayed. The other guy was scratching his head for weeks.

Terri decided one day that I should have a ships cat, so she bought me a little tabby. Cute kitten, used to hop up on the V berth while we slept. Then it hopped up there one night while we were making out. Inquisitive little bugger. Stuck his nose in the wrong spot, Terri bounced off the overhead. Bad kitty.

There are more but hey, those were the funnest. Damn those were good days. I had the world by the throat. Long time ago, a different life.

This is no s**t, but some years ago while staying at a marina in La Paz my ex was asked "what make sex aboard so special?" She replied by listing these three reasons:

1) The simple life - I'll do anything not to have to do another bucket load of laundry on dock.

2) Passage making - Anything's better then being seasick all the time.

3) Site seeing - Four or five hours of sex every day beats sitting around this boat being bored out of my f**king mind.




P.S. - When she heard that I was going cruising again she is quoted as saying "I'll never set foot on that boat again!"

Yeh that was back when I had hair. Thick shaggy hair. Now it looks like Ho Chi Minhs' beard. Grey, scraggly and thin. But it wasn't an Afro. Just really thick hair I used to cut once every 6 months. Once in the fall at start of school, and once in the spring to look for a summer job.

The pic with me and the dog was 'post pony-tail' when I was trying to look respectable and clean-cut. Didn't fool anyone, not even the dog.
