What can I say? At the risk of endangering my privacy and maybe busting a few myths, my recent foray wasnt exactly packed with romance or erotic exploits. I was short changed with a crusty old hermit living aboard a smelly boat besieged by mossies, alternating between roasting temps and fridgid condensation in the company of a man who couldnt have turned me on any less.

Im now confused and feeling envious of those who have had great sexploits upon the high seas, whilst trying not to be bitter and disenchanted

Sex is not an easy subject...I posted out of curiosity and realise that cruisers not only have healthy sexuality...you guys are ingenious and have humour...I will never again see the trampoline of a cat the same way, now I know that chops can be fun and boat accessories ropes, bumpers, handrails, cleats (you name it) all have multiple uses. I know that sound travels on water that if the boat next to you is the only one making waves, or that his anchor light is dancing on deck, something’s up!!
But most of all I am pleas to see that cruisers are respectful open-minded peoples, for outsiders like me it just feels good knowing I am in a good place.

I'll wade in here. I live aboard, so am still waiting to test all the advantages of sex aboard. But I can imagine them all.

My take on you gf's comment? She's looking for a way to stay off the boat, (regardless of what else she says) and subtly (or not so) trying to convince you by hitting you where it hurts. As in "I won't have sex with you on board. So we can go if you must but fair warning."

Too cynical? Maybe - but young women can be very sneaky. So, enjoy your young girlfriend on land - but expect to go boating alone.
