We have a soon to be 3 yr old toddler. She is pretty tall for her age but we are struggling to find a safe position for her in the cockpit
(Moody 46). When she was much younger she sat in a bouncy seat on the floor in front of the companionway
(seat was tied to handrails) but this is now no longer practical or safe.
A friend suggested a car seat to the left of the companionway
below the sprayhood (fixed) but this is not really that practical either.
What have other families done? In another year she will be big enough to sit with us so this is a temporary measure to get us through!
We will sail all winter in England
here so it needs to be secure - on both tacks.
