Except they don't answer back... and when you're upset they care.

Ooph. Nope, can't say that's one of my favourite things about dogs!!!!

Gonesail: I'm sorry for your loss. But there are plenty more dogs in the pound, and one of them needs your home

Re: Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

I am so sorry for your loss. The crappy thing sometimes about having dogs is that we almost always out live them. I would not trade them for anything in the world and I will take the pain of losing them in the future to have the wonderful times with them now.

Always been my opinion that God messed up big time with the whole people years/dog years thing...

my sympathies, glad you are feeling a bit better.

Re: Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

Sorry for your loss.

We lost our Missy and Ling almost 5 years ago, yet it seems like they've only been gone a few weeks. It still hurts. They were 16 and 14, and died exactly 4 weeks apart...

This was from when they were younger and more energetic.

Re: Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

I'm sorry for your loss. It may not be top of your mind right now...but I've found the earlier suggestion to find a new furry friend has been the truest path to healing from this.

Either way, take solace in the good times you had!
