Quack Quack by the Sea

We recently went for a hike along the east coast of Guatemala to a location called Siete Altares (beautiful spot) and encountered something very unusual along the beach -- domesticated ducks feeding in the surf line. I've never seen ducks in salt water before.

You should be around here. Quite common, mallards nest on my shoreline.

Domestic ducks can be found in salt water all over Greece:

Re: Quack Quack by the Sea

where the heck did you think they went when the water in the north gets hard?

We used to wonder where the Loons went south 'to' until we found them wandering along the Texas shore. They are not even as wary down there.
